Why don't customers receive notifications when a comment is added within an issue?

The "Public comment edited" notification is turned on under Project settings > Customer notifications.

I do not understand why the customer does not receive email. Someone help me, thanks.

are there any logs under the section "Customer notification logs"?

Did you already verify that other notifications are being sent successfully? Mails sent by Atlassian are often blocked by companies mail rules.

Thank you for the screenshot. It appears that the mails are being sent out successfully. 

Did you test all of the other notifcations? Do you receive these notifications, when you create a request with a customer account you have access to? 

Are outgoing mails enabled for your site?
