Why can I not remove or un-require SUMMARY anymore??

Hey peeps!

See screenshot below...

I don't remember ever being blocked from removing Summary or editing its name. Is this a new functionality...?

How can i remove or mark it as not required?

Please note:

  • JSM Cloud Standard
  • This is the Admin account with full access/control
  • Brand new Request type
  • Not using a template.

Hey @Fun Man Andy!

I think it's due to the wording, because you actually can:

  • edit the display name -- just type whatever name you'd like in "Display name", and click "Save changes" down below
  • remove it from the portal by setting a preset value

Hi @Fun Man Andy I believe Summary has always been a mandatory field on all Jira issues. But like Manon mentioned you can give it a preset to hide it or rename it using forms functionality.
