×Hello, I have created a form within our company JSM Portal. My issue is that I want our users to select from a specific list of possible managers in our organization as possible approvers for this request type. I Created a Project role with these users, assigned the project role to a custom field, which I have added into a form for this type of issue. However still unable to have the specific users I want appear in the drop down.
Appreciate any feedback!
In your case you will need to add all the users to the JSM project and grant them the project role you set in the field configuration.
This role would have to also be specified in the permission scheme used on the JSM project, with all the same permissions as a customer has.
A simpler solution would be the create a group in the administration, call that group Manager Approvers and add the related users.
Then in the context of your custom field, set this group for user filtering, this will not require you to add these users to the JSM project and assign them the role
Hey @Marc - Devoteam
Thanks! Thats about what we ended up doing. Created a new group with the specific users. Tied that group to a customized field. And then created an automation that populated the Approver field based on the new group I created.
It does add some redundancy, but is working well.
