Service Desck public signup - Not account

Clayton Attard February 21, 2018

Hi, we are in testing phase were we need to decide if JIRA suits us for our needs. Our JIRA service desk has public access and we need to prevent public users create an account as a member on JIRA service desk user. We just need public user to create an account to have access only to customer portal and create and maintain their tickets only.

kindly advise how we can achieve this.

Hi Clayton,

With the following setup:

  • JIRA Administration >> Applications >> JIRA Service Desk >> Configuration >> Public signup set to "Yes, project administrators can allow anyone to email the service desk or raise a request in the portal"
  • Project settings >> Customer permissions >> Who can raise requests? set to "Anyone can email the service desk or raise a request in the portal"

New user can sign up as a user that is capable to raise a request and manages his own requests.

Regards,

Kelly
