Mobile App: Can't Tag Customer in Request Participants

Our agents are noticing that when using the Mobile app, its not possible to tag a Customer who they were able to add to Request Participants. The problem is not occurring when using the desktop browser version of JSM. Obviously, if its working in the desktop browser version and they're able to add them to the Request Participants, they have the needed global permission.

Seeing this in the iOS version.

I don't know of a way to work around this or resolve it. Does anyone else have a solution?
