Manager field in rest API

Hi all

I'm trying to automate the approval workflow to populate the approver with the 'Manager' property from Atlassian Home/Jira Profile - I've connected this attribute via my IDP (Azure).

Can this attribute not be queried via the Rest API? 

I did enrol in an add-in from the Marketplace but much to my annoyance it requires an additional connection to my IDP, presumably because the existing attribute can't be queried by the API?

Hello @Sam Evans ,

There is no need to enroll for an app from market place. The way we achieved this is , we have created a asset schema in JSM cmdb with a feed from workday along with all the necessary field along with manager. We use an automation to pick up manager from this asset schema to tag a manager as an approver. hope this helps.

Unfortunately we don't have JSM Premium at the moment so don't have the cmdb available.
