Jira Service Management board not showing up to other role than site-admin

Dominic Asche November 22, 2024

I've recently created a Jira Service Management project with a board.

I'm intending to show the board to all users within the project, however it simply doesn't show up in the navigation.

The board:

  • I've tried different filters. In my latest try it uses a shared filter, that was create by a user that is in Customer Role
  • Customer Role does have sprint start permission, plus I've granted almost any sensful further
  • Even when I upgrade an user to admin it still doesn'T show up

What am I missing?

Hi @Dominic Asche

Do all users within the project have the 'Jira Service Management Agent' role assigned, granting them access to all JSM-enabled features?

Thank you for the great tip! Adding the user to the "Service Desk Team"-group indeed made the board appear. However, the issue is that this user is a customer and shouldn’t have the same permissions as a "Service Desk Team" member.

I’ve been trying to adjust the permission scheme to grant only the necessary permissions, but I haven’t figured out the correct settings yet. Do you have any experience with this or suggestions on which permissions to configure?
