JIRA Service Desk Project Issue

Rohitash Pathak October 30, 2018

Hi Team,

I have two projects & created new users and assigned in a single project but whenever i login the user it shows both the projects to the user.

As you can see in the attachment user is only assigned in TADDM project and uncategorized project is unchecked ( means not assigned ) but still user can see both TADDM and ICD Project.

User is assigned in only one project and role.

We have a jira service desk license only.JIRA.png

Can you please check this issue

Thanks

Rohitash

Hi,
Can you look in the Project Settings --> Customer Permissions page for ICD. I bet the Customers who have an account on this Jira site option is selected. Should be changed and that will hide ICD from unauthorized users. Add authorized users to the service desk customer role.

Oops here's that screenshot again. Apparently editing on mobile removed it.Screenshot_20181031-084444~2.png

@Rohitash Pathak, welcome to the Community. First let me convey that for the most part the Community is made up of users such as yourself but there are Atlassians that support as well. This simply means that support for questions is a volunteer activity primarily. Also, I see you posted several iterations of the same question in different collections (moderators, question, etc.). This belong under questions for JSD as such the other post was removed as dup.

With that said, let’s dive into your question. Note, I use Cloud so the administration is different so you will need to interpolate. I assume they user in question is associated with being an agent not a customer? I would first recommend going to the project you don’t want the user to have access to and check the project settings > users and roles. Ensure that the user isn’t listed.

@Jack Brickey Thanks for your response. I have checked the user in project's users & roles and it's not assigned. User is only assigned in TADDM project that i have created.Attaching the screen shot for your reference. If you have time can you please check on remote through webex

Below you can see user ayushi is not assigned in ICD project but can see both the projects while login.

@Rohitash Pathak, as a user like yourself I’m not available to do a webex with you. Server looks quite different than cloud, as such I will reach out to other Community Champions to see if they can assist.

just to be clear have you verified that the other user himself is logging in and seeing both projects?
