We are looking for ways to download/export JSM ticket details including the change history (audit logs) to local copy for audit purpose.

Any advice on how we can perform this?

Hi @bengmin.teh

Unfortunately there is no default export functionality for the full Jira Issue history.

Two possible solutions I can suggest:

  1. Create a custom script to obtain data through Jira API and add the query string "? expand=changelog" to the URL:
    https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-issues/#api-rest-api-3-issue-issueidorkey-get

  2. Use a Marketplace plugin, such as Issue History for Jira

Hi @bengmin.teh  As an alternative , you can try out Issue Change History for better reporting .

You can  analyze and export issue history, including transitions, comments, updated fields, work log edits, attachment changes, and other activities
