How do you setup a test environment in Jira Cloud

How in the Jira Cloud can I setup a test instance? Does it have to be a separate instance of Jira in the Cloud or is there config settings that we can make to enable it in test mode.

Hello Joseph,

As you can see in this documentation, Atlassian has a Dev environment that you can use to develop new Add-ons and test new functionalities:

Dev environment of JIRA

It has the same functionalities of a production instance, however, you have a limited number of licenses:

  • JIRA Core: 5 users free
  • JIRA Software: 5 users free
  • Confluence: 5 users free
  • JIRA Service Desk: 1 agent free

Please, let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Thank you so much for the information.

Hey @Petter Gonçalves is it possible to refresh this Dev environment with production Data?

Will all the Apps also be free forever?

With regards
Slava

Can we test integrations with Atlassian Access and Okta on this dev. envivornment?

Thanks!

Hello Gabriel,

Yes, the test environment has the same integration option as a production environment.

You can check the documentation below to know how you can integrate JIRA with Okta:

Configure user provisioning with Okta

Let me know if you still have any questions.
