How do I edit the query's on the 'Customers' page under the 'Directory' category?

Suzanne Hilditch July 8, 2024

After clicking on the 'Customers' link in the left hand menu under the heading 'Directory' I am given a page with various columns, including 'Open requests' and 'Closed requests'.

We've made a change recently which means the JQL query is no longer working, but I can't see any way to edit the queries for these 2 columns. Can anyone advise please?

I'd also like to know if I can edit what columns appear in this screen.

Hi Suzanne

Welcome to the community.

The screen shot shows the Customers list, but you are referring to a change in JQL which is not working as expected?

Is that a Queue where you made the change, which is at the top of the left hand panel that you are showing?

Are you able to screen shot the JQL?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

I may not have been clear. When I click 'view open' it runs a JQL that isn't working. I know what change I need to make to get it working. What I can't figure out is how to 'save' that query so that when I click on 'view open' it runs the corrected query.

Thanks,

Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Sorry for my mis-understanding.

I'm going to make some assumptions:

1. You are in the View All filters area.

2. You have selected the filter you require.

So, to the right of the JQL, there are options.

If you have made changes to the filter then Save Filter is there, and if you have not then Copy Filter is there?

Are you not seeing those?

Am I getting closer :-)

If you are in the Managed Queues area, then let me know, because that interface is different.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

I'm not in the 'View All Filters' area.

From the menu on the left hand side of the screen, there is a link to 'Customers' under the DIRECTORY heading:

When I click on 'Customers' it takes me to the screen shown in my original screenshot.

From this screen, it's the query when I click 'View Open' that I can't figure out how to save the changes I want to make.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Ok, I think I'm catching up.

You are in the Customers screen, which is the area that shows the list of customers for this project.

It's where you can add Organizations, or Add more customers.

The Open Requests and Closed Requests, show the requests for those customers.

Customers.png

The last row, shows that whatwhales@gmail.com has 1 open and 2 closed.

If I click on 1 Open, I am then taken to a list of the Open Requests, that WhatWhales has.

I've changed that JQL, so that it only shows Incidents.

If I save that it goes to the Filters section of the site.

If I then go back to the Customers screen, and hit the open link, it will show me the original JQL.

What I can tell you , is that this is not configurable at this time.

The Customers screen only shows Open Closed, Invite Sent, Resent invite options.

WHen you click on the open request, that's what you get.

SOrry I couldn't be more assistance

Mark

Thanks Mark,

What you have described is also what I am seeing. Looks like we may need to revert a change we made recently so the original JQL continues to work.

Thanks for your help.
