Hi Theo,
Could you let me know more about what language you want to translate Jira Service Desk into? There are a number of default languages that already have support for Service Desk, so I just want to confirm first that your language is not one of the ones currently supplied by the installation.
Also much of the data on that translation site is already being included into the recent installations of Jira, so it's possible that Jira (or Jira Core) already has this. My concern is to learn more about this so that we can understand if this is a specific limitation of Service Desk.
Regards,
Andy
Hi Andrew,
I would like to finish the translation of Brazilian Portuguese. today the service desk is already very well translated, but there are still some missing fields that have not been translated. I myself can finish the translation, but in doing so, how to change my server? I can not wait for an update to be able to use the language update I make.

Hi Theo,
Thanks for letting me know more about this. While Service Desk and Jira Core both offer a number of languages and translations, there are still certain, specific elements on the page that are not being translated.
There are a number of these that are known and documented on our public bug tracker, such as this query involving JSD translation issues without a fixVersion.
I suspect that the elements of the page you want to translate, might not actually be possible to do in the current code for Jira Service Desk. However if you can provide me more details about the specific sections, pages, elements, etc, perhaps I can confirm which specific bugs/feature requests would encompass the ability to translate everything in Service Desk.
At the moment, not everything in Service Desk can be translated. There is an open bug ticket for this in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-1937 -
If that bug ticket fits the description of your specific problem, there is currently a link in the description of that ticket to complete a survey on how you would like to use Service Desk in other languages or multilingual environments. Our team will likely use such survey results to help plan future improvements to Service Desk.
