While we were reviewing Service Requests yesterday, we wanted to sort them by Organization. We found that you're unable to do so with the current code in JSM.
If this something you are interested in, and can see value in having for your organization, I would suggest you vote for and watch this issue for Atlassian:
Hi @Dan Breyen
great catch and thanks for raising attention on this!
Just for reference, for an immediate solution to this, you might want to have a look at the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. This includes all JSM fields, including, of course, organizations.
This is how this looks in action:
Being powered by JQL, integrating into the project sidebar, and supporting as many sheets per project as you want, JXL is used by many of our customers as an extension to Jira's native queue and list views. JXL also comes with a number of advanced features that are particularly useful in a JSM context, including support for issue grouping, sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
Thanks, but I'm hoping this would be built into the application instead of requiring a paid add on.
