We are planning to migrate / renew our internal IT service desk project and make more use of the latest JSM features.
One thing we would like to use are affected services as there are quite some nice functions.
The thing I am really missing is to have additional (custom fields) on services. Am I just to blind or somehow blocked in my head to get additional fields on services?
I would like to have some additional user / usergroup fields, so we can put all service's roles to the service catalog, not only the standard ones as owner.
Hello
unfortunately, Jira Service Management (JSM) currently does not support adding custom fields directly to services in the service catalog. The "Affected Services" field and its associated functionalities are quite useful, but customization options are limited to the standard fields provided by JSM.
You can use Assets though, as this allows more flexibility in defining all sorts of object types (services, users, etc.) and link them in a graph, so you can see the "galaxy" of data around each item.
