I selected "Cascading Select Searcher" in Search Template, but it is still not allow to sort the column in Queues. Is it a limitation or configuration issue?

What is your exact requirement?
This Search Template option is for JQL purposes.
This is the default setting for a cascading select, if you would change the option to "none" the field is not searchable.
This has nothing to do with sorting.
I created a Select List (cascading) field and I would like to sort that custom field in Queues but I can't. I read this post related to sorting, which suggests that a searcher must be applied to it.

May I confirm that sorting Select List field in Queue is not possible?
I double check on my own instance and made a dummy project and added a cascading field in my queue.
Indeed it is not possible to sort on a cascading field.
This is not being considered by Atlassian as well, see JSDCLOUD-10438
