Cannot Find "Automations" in Jira Assets Despite Following Guide

Hi Atlassian Community,

I'm trying to build automations in Jira Assets as outlined in this guide. Despite following the instructions closely, I cannot locate the "Automations" section in Jira Assets.

Here’s some context to help clarify my situation:

• I have developer and manager permissions for the Asset Schemas I’m testing in.
• I’m familiar with building automations in Jira Projects and understand how permission levels work.
• I’ve looked through every "configuration" option, clickable text, and gear icon in Jira Assets and my schemas but still cannot find "Automations" anywhere.

Am I missing something in my navigation or setup? Where should I be looking in Jira Service Management Assets to see automations and manage them for an Asset Schema?

The guide you are referring to only applies to Assets in Data Center. Assets in Cloud do not have automations as a separate feature, you would have to use automations in the project in order to update an object when something happens to an issue.

I notice the guide is for Data Centre - is this what you are using, or are you on Cloud?
