Can One Kanban board - has 2 filter (#1 Swimlane on Epic level #2 Swimlane on Assignee level

Prashant Patil June 5, 2023

Current Active Kanban board with swimlane set to EPIC and two filters

Working well is the #1 group by Epic level (since Swimlane is on Epic).

Not working Assignee's #2 group (because the Swimlane setting is on the Board level rather than the Epic level)

Thus, if I alter Swimlane's settings, only one will function properly.

I was seeking a comprehensive answer and a single board with statistics.

One filter is used at the epic level (to manage updates on the status of project-level stories), while another is used at the assignee level to balance team members' workloads.

Hello @Prashant Patil

I don't think I fully understand your use case.

Can you provide more information and screen image examples about how your configuration for the board is not meeting your needs?

Hello

Thanks for quick reply.

Here is what i am looking for..,  Current board on EPIC (Swim Lanes) and working perfectly fine .

I am looking for Filter on Same board to display Ticket group by Assignee

Hello @Prashant Patil

Thank you for that additional information. That is very helpful in understanding your request.

Unfortunately what you want to do is not possible with native functionality. Jira supports using only one type of grouping (swimlanes setting) at a time on a board. You would need to go to the Board Settings and change the Swimlanes setting to switch between grouping by Epics and grouping by Assignee.
