Hello, I want to automatically assign tickets to an agent based on the portal group where the issue was created. I took a look at the possible automation rules, but I could not find an option to assign tickets based on portal groups. Would I have to add a field that is automatically given a value when created in a specific portal group and then give it an assignee, or is there a simpler way to assign tickets/issues based on portal groups? Thanks!

Unfortunately this is not possible. The portal groups are not stored as part of the request, and therefore there is no way of finding out from which group the request was created in. You only option would be to make request types portal group specific, you would then know which group the request was created in.
