Automation: Is it possible to add a comment with Automation without triggering an notification email

I use JEMHC for outbound emails because it has this feature: JEMHC can add the body of the outbound email as a comment and not trigger a comment email.

Is there a way to do this with Automation?  Automation can suppress notifications when an Issue is edited.  So is it possible to add a comment via the Edit Issue action instead of the Comment on Issue action?

Thanks

Lionel

Hey,

Apologies due to the complexity of the comment field, The "Edit Issue" action does not support making modifications to it.

To avoid getting emailed for the "Comment on Issue action", you can simply changed the rule actor from "Automation for Jira" to someone else.

Hope this helps !
