Hi All,
I am just trying to find a setting to inform jira admin if there is any error in any automations, I saw we have this option but not for all , we need to do one by one thats not feasible solution. SO any suggestion or solution
The solution is that the owner of each rule needs to be the Jira admin.
This has to be set per rule.
There are no global switches or API options for this.
And off course any none "global or "multi-project" rule can be edited by some with project admin permissions and change the rule owner again.
Also you wil need to check periodically as new rule will be made and not set with the Jira admin as owner.
I would, as best practice, set any crucial rules to the jira admin adn set the scope to global, so not any user can just make changes.
thanks for your answer but you as single jira admin want to manage all automation rules by yourself and want to notify yourself if any automation rule in project get failed . i am unable to find such options where you can do it in one click
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
This can't be done in a single click, this has to be set per automation rule.

As Marc described, notifying a site admin for all rule problems is not possible yet.
There are many suggestions to add such capabilities, including the following. You may watch / vote for them to see progress.
As a workaround, the global rules audit log has been greatly improved recently, allowing filtering by both status and timeframe. Using that, an admin could check periodically for failures and work with the rule owner to address them.
Kind regards,
Bill
