Announcing GA for AI Related Resources, Slack Channel Summary and Incident Timeline

We’re excited to announce that AI related resources, AI channel summary in Slack and AI incident timeline for Slack are now all generally available!

AI related resources (previously referred to as AI Suggested Resources)
During incident resolution, on-call engineers need to search for and find key information, understand if there are any specific steps they should follow, and who else they need to involve. AI related resources for incidents helps surface this information to responders quickly and in one place--minimizing the time and context switching required to track it all down manually.

Access these resources by referring to the ‘Find Resources’ button on incident records instead of the ‘Similar Incidents’ section. Related resources include similar incidents along with other resources like Confluence documents, Jira issues, and any third-party resources like Slack channels, Google docs and more. Read more here.

AI related resources is available for Premium and Enterprise customers using the Streamlined Incident UI, and who have activated Atlassian Intelligence for Jira Service Management. If you do not meet this criteria, you will continue seeing the Similar Incidents section.

AI channel summary in Slack
Upon joining an incident response channel, instead of having to scroll endlessly to catch up, get a summary of the progress and activity within seconds. The “summarize incident” action in Slack gives you the information you need to jump in quickly and be part of the resolution.

AI incident timeline creation from Slack
We know that more and more responders lean on their chat tool as the source of truth during an incident, but still need to document everything in the post-incident review. Use the “create incident timeline” action in Slack to review the suggested timeline entries, and select the ones you’d like to add to the timeline of your incident in Jira Service Management permanently.

Feel free to comment with questions below! We look forward to your invaluable feedback!

The AI related resources is a great function for incidents! Will it also come available for other request types like changes, problems, service requests?
