In Service Desk (Customer Portal), the default value ‘None’ does not display with the use of a single select field type

1. Created a custom field (field type=single select) called ‘Application’. Set the value to 'None'

2. Through Service Desk, Customer Portal it displays the first value and not the ‘None’ value

How can this be fixed?

I had a look into this - turns out there is a bug in how selects are rendered in the Customer Portal. I've raised an issue which you're welcome to vote on and add comments.

Have you set it as mandatory in the field configuration scheme?

We are having the same issue here with Service Desk 1.1.6
