Hi
I see that there is an inbuilt field for 'updated' that is a timestamp for when the initiative was last updated. Is there any way to either automatically format this to indicate the time since the ticket was last updated, or to use a custom field to calculate the number of days since it was last updated (and then format that based on its value)?
Thanks
Thanks I will give this a go.
The formatting I was looking for was just the regular formatting for a JPD field, i.e. color and an emoji. I'm assuming that will work as normal if I have this running.
Ah, so got this to work, but of course it doesn't actually do what I wanted it to do as the act of setting the field updates the issue.
What I need is a calculated field that doesn't actually update the issue but just calculates its value from the Updated field value.
Hi Peter
In terms of formatting, I thought I could create a rule saying that "Date is overdue by xx days" but I just realize that with the overdue rule you cannot specify a number of days, unlike the "date is in xxx days" - so I'm actually adding that as an improvement suggestion 😅
On the other side, I've created an automation rule that checks when an idea was last updated and then sends an email - so no field gets updated in it. That might be a workaround for you
Cheers,
Hermance
Thanks Hermance.
If the Updated field formatting rules could just be based on 'days since last updated' that would do the trick for me. At the moment they appear to be based on 'days until' the value in the field - which is of course no use for this field since the dates will always be in the past. I assume that this is a bug - or at least an incomplete feature.
