Prefilled fields when creating a delivery issues from an idea

David Spire November 26, 2021

Current result: when we create an EPIC from an idea, we have no possibility to prefilled information into the EPIC, such as Impact, Complexity, etc.

As an improvement, it would be so great if we could define/map fields between an idea and an EPIC, so that, when we create EPICs from an idea some fields are automatically prefilled.

Such as: priority, complexity, RICE score...

At the end, this would help us in retreiving EPIC prioritization, accordingly to what has been defined through the original idea.

You could do this with Automation for Jira.

Of course you would need to ensure you have the relevant fields in the Epics, or can map to existing fields in your epics.

Thanks for this feedback @David Spire

I've tagged it to the ideas we have re: improving the delivery features.

Question: in Jira Software, which views do you use to prioritize Epics: the backlog, custom filters, other?
