It is soon holiday season and the team will take a well-deserved break, to come back in the new year with highly requested new features, so, stay tuned 🥳
In parallel, we continue to improve every bit of experience in Jira Product Discovery, thanks to your suggestions and the bugs you've raised.
We are a bit overdue, so we will cover three months in this article hence the list is a bit longer 😅 As usual, don't hesitate to ask for more information in the comments! Here are some of the improvements we've made in Jira Product Discovery:
Delivery panel improvements
- Added the ability to calculate delivery progress by story points
- Creating delivery tickets with mandatory fields is now also possible from the multi-selector checkbox
- Show an explanation message in the delivery tab if the user doesn't have JSW access
Chrome extension
- Support for sites with custom domains
- Search ideas only by summary and not all text
- Fixed bug on Chrome extension not clearing the idea after creating the insight
UI improvement
- Reworked the toolbar look & feel when selecting multiple ideas
- Improved empty views look & feel (when creating new views)
- Changed contrast and elevation of selected cards in board views
- Added matrix bubble instant responsiveness when changing axis order
Contributor role improvements
- Added the ability to choose a custom group to be the contributor group
- “Assignee” field now only renders creators in the project, and not contributors (it was crowding the field + throwing errors)
- Fixed permissions around contributor access settings (site admins only)
- Removed configure delivery button for contributors (throwing errors)
Performance improvements
- Improved performance in the delivery tab when many delivery tickets need to be displayed
- Virtualization of board view - improved performance for all users
- Fixed bugs around 429 errors showing up when opening ideas in multiple tabs
Usability improvements
- You can now call your vote field "vote" ;) (this name specifically was not usable)
- Removed the possibility of editing archived ideas, to be consistent with other Jiras
- Created ideas are now pre-filled based on the filter applied to a view, whenever possible.
View UX improvements
- Added the ability to drag and drop issues inside empty groups
- Improved navigation blocking behavior when autosave is disabled
- When all views are in sections, land to the first view of the first group, instead of a ghost view 👻
- Sticky columns in board view (consistent with the experience when there is a group in the view)
UI bug fixes
- Fixed bug in timeline view that was causing overlapping & missing cards
- Fixed bugs of regarding view comments displayed outside the screen
- Fixed bug on linked issue dropdown overlapping with the rest of the UI
- Fixed bug in field configuration overlapping on the left panel
- improved long view names display on small screens
Other bugs
- Fixed bug when moving an idea to a new project, the redirection works (instead of a blank screen)
- cleaned JPD-specific permission names appearing in JSW
- Fixed a bug where wrong data was appearing while the idea was loading
- Improved status field export in CSV
- Fixed a bug when exporting a board with status as a column in JPEG (no status was displayed)
