Anybody using JPD for marketing?

At re:solution (we're a Gold Marketplace Partner) we've been using JPD for the last several months, but interestingly enough our journey has started with a less common use case: We're using Product Discovery to track, prioritize, and segment all our marketing ideas and initiatives.

We really like what we can do with the product. I've built a Content Calendar and some other views that are really helpful to figure out what's going on and to share our plans with the rest of the company.

Is anybody else doing this?

Now as you said it @Jaime Capitel _resolution_ I felt the urge to try this approach. :)

Well @Teodora V _Fun Inc_ knowing how extremely organized you are... if you ever try it I would love to see your setup! I'm sure it'll be very different to ours.

We at Ricksoft also start using JPD to add ideas for marketing works. JPD is super useful for brainstorming ideas about anything and getting feedback from anyone. :)

Hey @Jaime Capitel _resolution_ ,

Good to see you using it for marketing. We have seen pickup from so many different roles. We (the Jira Product Discovery marketing team) use it a lot as you might expect. In many ways we replicate the ways PMs work. Will share below in case it's helpful :)

  1. We gather all ideas into our project and add insights over time. For example, it might be building a template for marketing with JPD.
  2. We go through this regularly and prioritise
  3. We often collate the smaller ideas (we call pebbles) into big 'boulders' of work which are connected to Atlas goals
  4. Then when we are ready to actually 'do the work' we create Jira Work Management tickets from JPD
  5. We use the board view to share with leadership and anyone else what's going on so we don't have to waste time with presentations every month.

Best of luck!

@John McKiernan the approach you're describing is very attractive. We are considering using both generic goals so nothing is misaligned and Atlas goals for better focus.

The pebbles into boulders process is intriguing. I'd love to see a demo with some real life examples, would make for a great webinar!
