The "+ Add options" option is not appearing

The "+ Add options" option is not appearing, but I have the necessary permissions, as I am the creator of the project. But I still no longer have access to add options. This started today, as I had access before.

Even when creating a new field, the "+ Add options" does not appear.

Engineering recently changed how to add / edit these types of fields.

When editing these fields - instead of having the +Add option available, you'll want to type the new select option, then simply click 'Enter' to add it like so:

I've looked everywhere and there's no update in the documentation. In fact, what's available is the old method here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-product-discovery/docs/create-and-manage-custom-fields/#Formatting-fields-that-allow-options

But now I can do it!
