Hi Everyone!
Am trying to link specific customers on insights. nothing out of the box so added a new custom field - problem is that on regular development projects i can set a new field to be a label type, and easily find the right customer, but in JPD the label option is not available for a new field type.
Anyone has a solution/idea on that?
is there any news on this @Tanguy Crusson ? did you find a work around @Gilad Waldman ?
This is currently my biggest pain point. Writing the name of the customer in the insight without a proper tagging / link is not really useful as I don t have any information on the customer. I would need to know at minimum the MRR of the customers, or other insights like number of properties in their portfolio.
I would love as well to tag more than one customer per insights.
Thanks
Hi @Mathias Coudert : we don't have news on that specific topic for now.
Other users of JPD have set up a "multi-select" field for this purpose. This lets you list customers, but also give weights to each customer (to represent how important they are for prioritization purposes, e.g. MRR).

Only on ideas. But the customers that tried to do the thing you say basically end up tagging customers to the idea (and some also add insights and add labels for customers - double entry, not great I know). Ideally we'd at least let you see a field in views that shows all labels for insights inside the idea. We're planning to do that but haven't got around to it yet.

@Mathias Coudert Not really. still an issue but hoping the maybe when the automations will run on Insights i will be able to parse them, extract the customer and add it into a dedicated field.
As for field type - I really miss the label field. we are now using regular text field, separated by commas and when pushing idea to Jira, it parse it into a label.

Well, this means that as an admin i would have to manually add these customers as opposed to let everyone add a new "label".
So doable but too much of a overhead.

That is correct. You could however import them via a CSV, in case that helps. There's a section in the FAQ about that

Adding a label field type is something you plan on adding? Thanks for your responses.

I, too, have encountered this limitation. We set up a 'short text field' with comma-separated customer names. This is certainly not ideal for all the logical reasons.
