Slack notification in Jira Product Discovery

I'm attempting to configure Slack notifications for Jira Product Discovery, and the configuration screen fails at the point of connection, complaining that I don't have permissions to modify the project.

The troubleshooter claims that the "App does not have write access to the project", but currently there doesn't appear to be a way to configure the required permissions (i.e. there's no way to modify or switch the permission scheme for a Jira Product Discovery project).

Is this expected (that Slack notifications won't work for JPD), or is something broken?

We've seen in the past some customers running into this issue when trying to integrate their Slack with JPD. It's a minor bug where the add-on / plugin is not granted JPD product access.

You'll want to open a ticket with JPD support HERE, or through JPD's Give feedback tab >> Get help from the support team option.

Our team can reinstall the Slack app to correct this issue. The reinstall only takes a few moments and should work as expected after.
