The search functionality in jira product discovery seems a bit off - what is the search logic being used? What is the most effective way to search based on the logic? Our stakeholders are having a hard time finding ideas they've submitted or finding ideas of others by doing basic searches in JPD.
100% agreed, Tonya. We’ve got training coming up today, and this is one of the questions on the docket. Will update here if I get any helpful info.
In the meantime, we’ve been using a combination of the Roadmap status and color coding the row based on Roadmap status (and Sort).
That helps keep track of common/frequently-accessed items by Roadmap status, but obv does not help find the older/less-discussed items.
Hi Dave - thanks for the comment! Wondering if you found anything out in your training? Our internal teams are having the hardest time adopting this new tool (we were in Aha for Ideas before) because they feel they can't search properly.

@Tonya Glover - I didn't get specific guidance in that training, but have been testing out searching every day over the last couple of weeks, and get the impression that the Atlassian team has recently deployed an update that makes search more flexible, similar to the overall Jira search (the top search bar).
It no longer uses an exact string match. Please try it out and let me know if you see the same thing.
By using the updated search and a custom field called Product Category that we've set up, it makes it pretty easy to find ideas.
