Hi All,
As Product Discovery matures into a shipping product, it would be good to see roadmap view (like in Advanced Roadmaps/Project roadmap) and the true nested hierarchy features release (as are discussed in other questions on this thread). We currently utilize another product (Aha) for some of these features, but would like to consolidate into the Atlassian ecosystem.
Is there a "roadmap" for the beta of the product to be able to understand the features that are planned, and relative timeframes? Also, are there plans for importing roadmaps from other projects, or at a reverse sync from Jira to populate a Product Discovery project?
Thank you
Hi Ayelet,
That is unfortunately not possible. If you would like to link a JPD issue to a Jira Software issue, then you need to use the "Link issue" button in Jira Software.
as already suggested, this doesn't seem possible at the time - you'll need to use issue links to model a parent/child relationship.
The big downside is that - since issue links can represent any relationship between two issues - Jira doesn't really recognise them as parent/child relationships across its views. This being said, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, there are apps available that can help with that.
Just to give an example, this is how this could look in the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira:
For context, JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies. The issue hierarchies can be based on Jira's built-in parent/child relationships (like parent), and/or issue links of configurable issue link types. In the above clip, I'm using a is parent of / is child of issue link to connect ideas to their parent epics.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
