How can we use the "Discovery" status?

In the list of statuses, there is "Discovery", although I might have an initial understanding of what it means, I don't know how to use it yet within our team.

What actions or tasks do you usually do when an idea is at "Discovery"?

Hi Taronish, 

It is not possible to filter by short text field, so we would recommend using a select or multi-select field specifically for customers' accounts. 

unfortunately, if you are using this field type because it's being populated by a 3rd patty integration, it is not possible yet to use JQL to filter views, but we are planning to bring some more advanced filtering features in Jira Product Discovery.

I understand you cannot filter by the values in the short text field.  But is it possible to filter on whether that short text field is null vs, not null?
