When I attach a delivery ticket to an idea, the delivery status on the Jira Product Discovery board doesn't mirror the status of the linked ticket. I suspect this is because Jira Product Discovery doesn't accommodate custom statuses configured within Jira Software and instead, shows the status categories (can someone verify this?).
For example, I link a Jira issue with a custom gray status called "In Review," as a Delivery ticket, the Delivery status is displayed as "To Do."
Is it possible to configure custom delivery statuses in Jira Product Discovery to align the delivery status with the story or task linked as the delivery ticket?
I personally think the status category (ToDo, InProgress, Done) is suffice, and having all the different statuses from Jira Software would be too much information.
Hey Laura,
You're correct, we only display the workflow categories, not the real status names.
This decision was made for multiple reasons: the delivery status also reports on these three categories, both in the field and in the progress bar on the delivery panel
but it's also possible PMs and other users who primarily use Jira Product Discovery and not Jira Software aren't aware of which category a specific status refers to.
However, as we are working on improving the integration between Jira Product Discovery and Jira Software, I'll definitely bring it on to the team and see if we can improve this behavior :)
Best Regards,
Hermance
