JPD custom fields (that use a formula), appear empty for JQL queries

I have created a custom formula field in a JPD project called "Job Score".

It calculates a value based on the values in other JPD fields (e.g. reach * confidence * impact).

I can see the values in JPD, however the field always appears blank via JQL.

  • Sorting via this field does not work in JQL (e.g. "order by Job Score DESC"), because the field is blank.
  • Filtering via this field does not work in JQL (e.g. "Job Score > 1").
  • Exporting from JPD to CSV works (I can see the values from "Job Score" in excel)

Is this a limitation of JPD? How can I access JPD values outside of JPD?

Hi Jason, yes that's a limitation of JPD today - the formulas are just computed client side. They're not available for JQL or exports yet.

@Tanguy Crusson thanks for confirming. I was beginning to think I was going crazy! The values do appear in JPD exports, just not in JQL.

I would love to be in the alpha/beta group for this capability, when the time is right!
