Is there a way to set a default template for all ideas? At the moment a user has to know that there is a template (and click templates) and then select from the menu of available options.
As an administrator, I'd like to pre-populate a template for all new ideas, so that everyone at least considers the question "What problem or opportunity are you trying to address?" :)
I do this from Project Settings > Features > Create Ideas, that page gives templates there that you can choose from or customize your own. Then when Contributors hit the Create button, they'll get that default template.
yep, this should work!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I also use this method! However, it is unfortunate that if a Contributor tries to create an Idea directly from Jira Software, the template will not appear.
Really hoping JPD fixes this ASAP.
