Is there a way to limit creators from modifying the fields in views?

Our VP created a board and she wants to make sure that the fields she defined in this board will remain and that no creator will be able to remove those fields. Is that something we can do without changing their permission to contributor?

Hi Oran,

At the moment permissions are assigned to roles, the most relevant permission here would be 'Manage views'. You could create a new role which doesn't have this permission, with the downside that this user can not create or edit ideas in any view.

The best option for you here might be to disable autosave on this particular view:

100% needed over here, too... We need to be able to LOCK views that you're the creator of.  Also, with a growing number a views it would be nice to have classifications in the navigation area like Company Views, My Views, All Views or something like that.

This is also something that we need. Our team of creators is growing and people save changes to views all the time even aften we disabled auto-save view changes. It is so confusing to enter a view that somebody changed without telling you - a filter is changed and cannot find specific ideas, sorting is changed so that what you expect to be at the top of a list is now at totally different location, fields are removed/added/moved so that your nice layout is a mess (from you viewpoint).

I hope that there will be an option to save view settings for individual team members, and until then we need a way to mark that a view can only be changed by admin(s).
