I want to color them by team for example based on the color set for that team. So its more pleasing from a visual standpoint. Is there a way to do that?
Hi @Matt Schroyer ,
I was playing with it and what you could do is:
1. Create a "Team" field with all the different teams you have. Each Idea ticket should have a team assigned to it. Create your teams as values for the "Team" field. Let say "Team A" and "Team B", etc...
2. Edit the "Team A" settings (see screen shot):
3. When the Idea card is displayed in the timeline view it will be colored at the beginning with the selected team color.
Hope it helps :)
Hi Matt, the best option here is to use colours for the field values. It allows you to bring some colour into the timeline without it being overwhelming. Give it a try!

Not really what I was looking for. With the new timeline view (with the start and end dates) I want to color thecard like you can do on jira board. So if for example something we are doing in q1 is related to an item in Q2 or they are using the same team it is very visually obvious. Maybe shading the cards is not a feature yet? Is it something the team has considered?

For the timeline view we use the same principle of using fields with colours for visual reference. For example, you could have a field for initiative displayed on the timeline and colour-code the different initiatives.
We'll keep the suggestion to shade the whole bar in mind for future iterations of the timeline view.
