Hi there!
Our team frequently receives valuable ideas and feature requests via Trello cards, and we believe that linking Trello with JPD will significantly streamline our idea management process.
Here's what we're looking for:
Automated Idea Creation: We would like the ability to automatically create a new idea in our JPD project whenever a user tags us on a Trello card. This will ensure that all incoming ideas are captured promptly and efficiently.
Data Capture: The integration should capture essential information from the Trello card, such as the title, description, associated tags, and any other relevant details. This comprehensive data capture will facilitate thorough evaluation and prioritization of ideas within JPD.
I tried to set up an automation in Trello, but I'm not sure what type of Jira ticket to use.
Do you know how to achieve this?
Thank you very much.
Cyrille
Hello,
You need to select the correct project, and then you'll notice there is no other choice than "Idea" for the issue type:
I tried to create a button for the first time, it works well 👍🏽 If you have further questions regarding automation on Trello, I'd suggest to reach out to the Trello group, cause I think that beyond this point my expertise will fade away 😅
Cheers,
Hermance
Hello Hermance,
Thank you for your help.
I tried to create an automation based on the issue type "Idea" or "idea" but it does not work as you can see:
For the record, I don't have any suggestion when I try to add an issue type.
Do I need to activate something on the JPD side?
Thanks again for your help.
Best,
Cyrille

Nope, I didn't had to activate anything for it to work.
Can you please try to create the same button as me? Starting by selecting the project.
if this doesn't work, can you please open a ticket with the Trello team ?
Cheers,
Hermance
