Hello,
I would like a JSM agent to be able to link a JSM request to an existing JPD idea.
I know that the Chrome extension is the preferred solution, but I wonder if it's possible to do without it.
Ideas are linked to an Insight (an Issue in another Jira project) with the link "is the idea for" / "added to the idea".
When a JSM ticket is manually linked to an idea using the "Added to idea" link. In the Idea, the "insight" tab does not show the JSM ticket.
It only works when using the Chrome extension.
What does the Chrome extension do in addition to the "link issues" Jira feature?
Thanks
Christophe
@Christophe Promé you are right: when you add a Jira issue to an idea as an insight, the product creates an issue link between the too. But today just creating that issue link doesn't automatically create an insight.
The only ways to create an insight from a JSM requests:
We do plan to make it easier, but it's not on the short term roadmap yet.
Thanks for the confirmation @Tanguy Crusson
Is the REST API documented? I didn't find anything on https://developer.atlassian.com

While it's in beta we haven't added it there, but you'll find an example here: https://github.com/Atlassian-integrations/polaris-forge-ref-app
Look in "push-example"
