We have started to use published views to make certain information available to various stakeholders in the business.

I would like to make sure we are giving users some context about the view by showing them the "About this View" panel. This originally seemed to be working well but now for some reason it almost never opens when visiting the published link.
Any ideas on how I essentially force the panel to always open?
By the way... this example from the JPD Team does always open the panel.
Hi @Matt Serbyn the "about this view" section opens automatically the first time someone opens a view. On the view that you shared, it does it at all times since the view is configured for public access (so users can open it anonymously so the "about this view" section opens every time).
Ah.. this makes perfect sense. Thanks for the answer.
So then what is not so clear to our internal stakeholders, who maybe don't use Jira on a day to day basis, is how to reopen that panel once they have closed it (especially as the link to open it is on the opposite side of the screen to the panel itself).
If I want to force it to open every time so they are reminded of the page context (on maybe the one day each month that they come to view it) might I ask that as a feature request?
Or open to other solutions if you and your team have any suggestions.
Thanks for the great product.

Thanks Matt, that makes complete sense - we'll discuss this with the team, maybe we could always open that panel in published views like you're suggesting 🤔 It would make sense.

Following as well, you read my mind as I was curious myself and like how the "About this View" pops up by default.
