Feature question - are there any plans on adding Confluence page links (like you currently can link a Jira issue) in Jira Product Discovery?
The question was raised by my colleague who tried to create a Jira issue (JPD Idea) from the Confluence page, by selecting text -> Create issue. The idea/issue was created but there were no links from the JPD issue to the Confluence page.
It can also be part of Idea Insights, not necessarily as a Confluence page links section.
Or, is this maybe designed and 'covered' by using the Chrome extension for Insights (that it would replace the Confluence page links feature)?
@Tomislav Tobijas this is something we plan to do eventually. For the moment you can use the Chrome extension to send snippets of a Confluence page to an idea, but you're right, it's doesn't make it a bi-directional link!
Along these lines, what would be really useful is if text is highlighted in Confluence and an insight created, that this was indicated on the Confluence page.
Key use case being analysing a user interview, and making sure that all relevant insights have been highlighted/captured and saved into Product Discovery. Otherwise it can be easy to miss pieces of the conversation.
I can appreciate this would be deeper integration especially on the Confluence side, which would be outside your direct control. In any case, the core product the team has built is solid. Nice work!

Insights is how I did it. Works great and really fast when you have the extension.

Indeed. However, our team just started to use Confluence intensively and people are still exploring and getting used to all possibilities/features there.
It would be great if we wouldn't need to introduce another 'tool' - at least not just yet.

Same here. Before Discovery Projects existed, our team's insights were extensively documented in Confluence and linked to tickets in my pre-discovery-project idea project, lovingly called "Ideas".
When I move those idea tickets to the Discovery Project to become idea tickets, the insights-as-confluence-pages links are lost. Right now there is a lot of manual copying and pasting of existing insights in the previous project to become existing insights in the new project.
I'm a little worried about missing some links when I copy and paste. Not to mention double data entry is not very fun.
