Is there a way contributors can access the "create ideas form" on a standalone public page? It has been a challenge educating business users about using Jira when the first interaction is just trying to submit an idea. Most business users are expecting to see a form.
Totally agree!
I wish Forms was available in Jira Product Discovery projects. It would make idea creation much easier for contributors.
The only link we have now is the link to the project :S

@Jeremy Burton In case it helps you... we have configured a Form, in a JSM project, to be able to have that link accessible, configure mandatory fields, the appearance we want... and once the request is created, an automation rule automatically creates the idea :)
The path is longer than usual, but we achieved our goal!

@María Ferreño_TecnoFor Can you please share how you have done this ?

Would love to see how you have set up autmation rule.
Thanks!

Hello @Jyoti Mane yes of course ;)
In your JSM project:
When issue created >create a new Idea in JPD project
In our case, we use fields in the form to create ideas with different information (we created custom fields in Jira to match with the forms fields). If it's also your case, use Issue field condition
Hope it helps ;)

Yes I'd like a way for anyone without Jira access to submit ideas with a simple form and let my product teams dive into discovery mode and managing the idea from there.

@Jeremy Burton we don't have this as a feature at the moment. This is still our first iteration of the idea form, thanks for this feedback and we'll keep it in mind for future iterations!

Thanks @Rohan Swami , Initial feedback i have from my contributor users is that the current experience is confusing and frustrating. They see and use the blue create button, fill out the form and save. Then they see the new idea in the list but cannot do anything so they click around not realizing it is read-only. At that point there is no easy way to instruct them at that point. Creator users also tend to click the wrong create button and get to the grid entry instead of the form entry.
Overall great product though and we are excited to use it!

@Rohan Swami Thank you for your response. This feature would greatly enhance/enable Jira Product Discovery's transparency. When it becomes cumbersome for leadership, it can complicate budget discussions related to Jira Product Discovery. Including this in the next iteration would be highly beneficial. Let's collaborate to make this improvement happen. 🙌🏾
