Hello everyone,
We run product discovery on a free plan, and I have admin rights (and am in the admin group) for the product. Since January, I have been unable to change the access level of the JPD members, and I am unable to create or edit any access permissions. Even when I try to invite people, the only option is to invite them as admins.
Until December, I was able to define the access level of the members of this group. We are about 20 contributors (no license - free access), one Admin (myself), and (hopefully) one creator. Ideally, I would like to have a custom group to define the permissions of the other licensed user.
I would like to mention that no changes have been applied to my user on a Jira instance level.
I attach some screenshots of my current view
Any thoughts?
It's because Atlassian aligned the JPD free plan with the rest of Jira.
This documentation outlines this at the top:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-product-discovery/docs/manage-your-team-project-access/
"When you are on a Free plan; everyone can open the project. Any user with creator product access is a creator and an admin on the project, and any user with contributor product access can act as a contributor to the project,"
Hi @Gary Spross ,
Thanks for the information, I wasn't aware of this alignment.
Does that mean that the 'Creator' role (access level) has been completely removed, and now JPD only has Admins (licensed users) and Contributors (non-licensed users)?
Thanks!
