Today is a great day for compliance lovers: Data residency for Jira Product Discovery is available! You are now able to pin in-scope Jira Product Discovery data in a specific region: United States, Europe, Australia, Germany and Singapore) 🥳
How can I pin my data?
Option 1: If your other Jira products (eg Jira Software, Jira Service Management, or Jira Work Management) are already pinned to a specific region, then you don't need to do anything, your Jira Product Discovery data is now automatically pinned in this region 🚀
Option 2: If your data for other Jira products is not pinned to a specific region yet, then
- Make sure you are using Jira Product Discovery Standard edition (check how to upgrade here)
- Go to admin.atlassian.com and select your organization

Select Security > Data residency.

In the data residency table, select Move product.

Choose the region and migration schedule.
And that’s it!
What's in-scope data for Jira Product Discovery?
For the moment, the data pinned will be all your ideas (summary, descriptions, comments, and fields value), as we believe that's where most of the sensitive information resides and should already unblock some of you ;)
