Hello, fine folk of Jira!
Here’s a quick look at features and performance improvements we’ve recently shipped to Jira Cloud’s iOS app and Android app.
They’re already in iOS, and now dashboards have shipped to Android, too. Hurrah! Dashboards deliver a glorious, personalized overview of your work. Select and edit gadgets for your dashboard via Jira in your web browser.
The Android app currently supports the following gadgets:
Assigned to me
Issues in progress
Voted issues
Watched issues
And more gadgets are being built.
(Haven’t created your first dashboard yet? Open Jira in your web browser, go to your project, and select Dashboards in the top menu bar, then select Create dashboard.)

Contextual issue notifications help you quickly discern where new activity has taken place. On your board, on the issues screen, and in service management queues, issues with new activity will display ‘X new updates'.

Have you checked out the Jira widgets for your device’s home screen? iOS now has TWO. Woop woop! The first is an issue counter widget (which Android also has), and now we’ve added an issue list widget to iOS. It displays a beautiful list of issues (including issue summaries, keys, and statuses) within your selected filter.
To add the widget to your iPhone, go to your iPhone's home screen, and long-press an empty space (or a widget). When all the apps start to jiggle, select + at the top of your screen, then choose the Jira widget.

If you navigate using a screen reader, you’ll notice most buttons in the app are now labelled correctly. Many more accessibility improvements are on the way, including larger touch zones and more informative accessibility labels.
Rows, and columns, and cells – oh my! Go to Jira in your web browser to add a table to an issue’s description or a comment, then view and edit it on your device.

Burndown charts in company-managed projects will soon have a remaining estimate and time spent tracking statistic.
To enable this statistic (once it is available), you'll need to open Jira in your web browser, and then:
Learn more about using burndown charts.

Haven’t got the app? Download Jira Cloud for iOS from the App Store, or Jira Cloud for Android from Google Play.
Don’t forget you can sign up to be a beta tester and get early access to updates.
