We’re about to ship two new features for roadmaps on iOS* and Android, to match the power that Jira Cloud for web currently offers.
*These new features will only be available in iOS 16 and above.
Soon, you’ll be able to see each epic’s child issues on the roadmap, in both list view and chart view.
To add a child issue to an epic:
Open an epic via Home (if you’ve viewed an epic recently) or by searching on the Issues screen
OR
Open a project and select the Roadmap project tab (see image below; the Roadmap tab sits between Backlog and Reports).
Select an epic on the roadmap.
On iOS, select ••• (more), then select Create child issue.
On Android, select the Create child issue icon (team-managed projects), or select︙(more) > Create child issue.
If the start date and/or due date on a parent issue are empty, the roadmap infers its duration based on the dates assigned to child issues. We call these roll-up dates.
Check out examples of how they’ll look:

To swap between chart view and list view, select the roadmap’s ‘more’ icon (︙on Android, and ••• on iOS).

Don’t forget, you can sign up to be a beta tester and get early access to updates.
NOTE: This article describes regular roadmaps. Advanced Roadmaps (which are different from regular roadmaps) aren’t currently supported on iOS or Android. Learn more about Advanced Roadmaps.
