Under Administration>Jira Setting; how "Release (Text Read only) field works?

Under Administration>Jira Setting, need to know how these fields work:

1. Release (Read-only Text field)

2. Business Owner (where it gets reflected in Jira Align)

3. Work Code (Features only) (how does it work)

4. Default User

5. Delete Item Status

6. Allow Jira to Overwrite Data

Each of those fields as some great documentation that you can access by hitting the help button in the lower right corner of the page.  It is also possible to get to even more documentation from there. 

The "Release (read-only)" field is often renamed to Program Increment, so I have included a screenshot of the help text from Jira Align.
