How to create Release vehicles

Hello,

 Could someone please guide me on creating customized Release vehicles in Jira Align? Release vehicles for this PI must be created only for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, how do I do that? 

P.S. I have referred to Atlassian Help page, but it doesn't explain how do I create Releases in bulk and sync them to Jira Releases.

@LAXMI ABHINAV REDDY ARAE Before you decide to sync Release Vehicles with Jira Fix Versions you need to understand that a Release Vehicle can only sync to a Fix Version in a single Jira project. This means that if each team has their own Jira project you may have multiple Release Vehicles/Fix Version that represent the same release. If a Release Vehicle represents a release across multiple team within a program there are two ways you can accomplish this.

1. Syncing Release Vehicles and Fix Versions and consolidating/group Release Vehicles - If each team has their own Jira project, multiple Release Vehicles/Fix Versions will be created that may represent the same release. In Jira Align you have the ability to manually consolidate/group the Release Vehicles. On the Release Vehicle Roadmap report, it will display features by grouped Release Vehicles and you can filter the Feature and Story grids by group Release Vehicles. On the downside, when viewing the Roadmaps by Release Vehicle view it will not display grouped Release Vehicles. If you are creating Release Vehicles in Jira Align and want them to sync to Jira, you need to select the Jira Project where you want to create the Fix Version. Another way to create Release Vehicles is by creating a Fix Version in a Jira project with start and end dates with the PI. When Jira Align syncs with Jira it will create the Release Vehicle. The Allow Release Vehicles (Fix Versions) to sync with Jira Fix Versions field in Jira Settings under Administration needs to be set to "Yes" to sync Release Vehicles with Fix Versions. 2. Create a single Release Vehicle that does not sync with Jira Fix Versions - This will eliminate duplicate Release Vehicles that represent the same release and having to manually group Release Vehicles. However, it does require that features and stories be manually assigned in Jira Align to Release Vehicles.

Here are the steps for creating Release Vehicles:

1. Navigate to Program -> Release Vehicles (Under Manage [Expand +Show All])
2. Click on +Add Release Vehicle
3. Enter values in the required fields at a minimum: Name, Status, Health, Start, Ship, Program Increment Shipped In and Owner. There are non-required fields that you can populate if you choose.
4. If Release Vehicles are synced with Jira Fix Versions, you will need to select the Jira Project to create the corresponding Fix Version in.
5. Click on Save. More fields will display after you click Save. The Jira Align help page on Release Vehicles describes the fields

As far as creating Release Vehicles in bulk, there isn't functionality to do that. You can only create Release Vehicles individually.

I would like to create Release vehicles for entire PI (3 months) under a portfolio and the RVs should be created only for Tues, Wed, Thurs and Friday. How do I create the RVs in bulk by applying the above condition?

@LAXMI ABHINAV REDDY ARAE You cannot create Release Vehicles in bulk through the Jira Align UI. Once option are the Jira Align APIs where you can create and update Release Vehicles. If you have some scripting experience or have access to a developer than can write a script for you, you can use the API to bulk create Release Vehicles.
