Reviewing and Understanding Jira Connector Logs

The Jira Align integration will sync issues bidirectionally between Jira and Jira Align. The Jira Connector logs provide valuable insight into connector configuration changes and sync errors.

The Jira Integration logs can be accessed by navigating to Jira Align Administration > Jira Settings > Manage Projects tab and clicking the View Logs button. Select the desired logs from the Item drop-down menu.

Details on each type of log are below:

Configuration Logs: The Configuration Logs will record any changes made to the connector configuration, including the date and time that the change was made and the name of the user who made the change.

Jira API Logs: The Jira API Logs will reveal API sync errors occurring between Jira and Jira Align.  Common sync errors that are shown in this log are permission and issue screen errors. Examples include a user not having Assignable User permissions on a Jira project or the Story Points field not existing on the Story Issue screen.

Issues Logs: The Issues Logs will display sync errors on issues syncing from Jira Align to Jira.  These errors are typically tied to permissions, issue screens, or issues no longer existing in Jira due to hard deletion. In cases of hard deletion, please see the Jira Deleted Issues Report

Boards Logs: The Boards Logs will display sync errors related to boards integrated with Jira Align on the Jira Align Administration > Jira Management page. Common Board sync errors include no sprints found for a board, non-existent boards, and lack of permissions to view a board. When encountering these errors, verify the board exists in Jira, the board's filter share includes an integrated project, and the board's filter query is shared with the API service account.

Sprints Logs: The Sprints logs will display sync errors related to sprint alignment between Jira and Jira Align. Common Sprint errors include the origin ID of a sprint not matching its board ID or the end date of a Jira sprint not matching the a Jira Align anchor sprint's end date plus or minus the buffer days established under Jira Align Administration > Jira Settings > Jira Setup.

Release Vehicle (Fix Version) Logs: The Release Vehicle logs displays sync errors related to the sync of Jira fix versions to Jira Align release vehicles. If a Jira fix version ship date falls within a Jira Align program increment start and end date that is associated to a program integrated with the corresponding Jira project, the fix version will create a corresponding Jira Align release vehicle. If the fix version does not have a ship date or the ship date does not fall within an associated program increment start and end date, the fix version will show in this log.

Is there a solution similar to Grafana or New Relic to monitor the jira connector ?
