Thought I'd cross-post here regarding the new Jira Software and Jira Service Desk Enterprise releases, versions 8.5 and 4.5 respectively.

One thing we've already seen from a client:

If you're not already on the 7.13.X Enterprise release of Jira Software or 3.16.X of Jira Service Desk, you'll need to upgrade to that before you single-jump to 8.5.X. of Jira Software and 4.5.X of Jira Service Desk. 

While you can skip that step, it's *highly* recommended you go from Enterprise Release to Enterprise Release.
